Mez was born in Essex in 1966.  She attended Warwick University where she studied Philosophy and Literature.  During the 1980s she lived in Europe and sang jazz in bars and nightclubs. In the 90s she brought up two children, traveled in Asia and the Far East and began a career in the media, working first as a Broadcast Journalist for the BBC, then as a magazine editor and more recently a lecturer in Media and Creative Writing.

Mez’s novels – Among Thieves and The Game is Altered – were published by Tindal Street Press. She lives in Leamington Spa and teaches at Coventry University.
